Privacy Policy

Overview

TechLingo ("we", "us") operates the TechLingo mobile app and techlingo.io. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information (optional): if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the account identifier from that provider and may receive your name, email address, and profile photo when the provider supplies them. This is stored on your device.
• Profile details you choose to add: a display name and an avatar, if you edit your profile in Settings. The photo stays on your device.
• Learning progress: course progress, game state, belt progress, and app settings are stored on your device.
• Subscription status: if you buy TechLingo Pro, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive whether a monthly or yearly subscription is active, plus an anonymous purchase identifier, so the app can unlock Pro courses and restore a purchase. We do not receive your card number.
• Website email: if you ask us to send the download link from techlingo.io, we collect the email address you submit.

How we use information

• Provide the learning experience in the app.
• Save your progress and preferences on your device.
• Respond to support requests sent to hello@techlingo.io.
• Unlock TechLingo Pro while a monthly or yearly subscription is active, and restore that access on the same store account.
• Send the download link you asked for from techlingo.io.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Device permissions

The app may request access to your photo library only when you choose to change your profile avatar. Audio playback is used for lesson sound effects when enabled in Settings.

Data storage

Signed-in account details and learning progress are stored on your device. We do not operate a TechLingo account server. If we later sync progress to our servers, we will update this policy before that change.

Email addresses submitted on techlingo.io are stored so we can send the message you requested. You can ask us to delete that address at any time.

Third-party services

• Apple and Google handle sign-in and subscription payments under their own privacy policies.
• RevenueCat receives the anonymous purchase identifier and subscription status so the app knows whether TechLingo Pro is active. It does not receive your payment card details.
• Mux may stream lesson video inside the app.
• Resend delivers email you request from techlingo.io.
• Vercel hosts this website and provides aggregate traffic analytics for techlingo.io. That analytics runs on the website, not inside the app.

Your choices

• You can use TechLingo without signing in.
• You can sign out at any time from your profile.
• You can delete local app data by removing the app from your device. Because account details and progress stay on the device, deleting the app removes them.
• You can ask us to delete a website email by writing to hello@techlingo.io.

Children

TechLingo is intended for a general audience learning workplace technology vocabulary. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
